Our History
After months of late nights with our computers and countless cups of coffee, we were thrilled to officially announce the launch of Torquay Museum Without Walls in March 2016. We are so proud of how far we’ve come since we formed in September 2015 and have worked hard with you in mind. We have researched and published many stories in our short history. Our work has grown, and it is rewarding to know it has become so popular.
As a team with a passion for history, our goal is to share our research so that you can quickly and easily learn about the history of the Torquay region – the people, the events and the journey. We also continue to put our fellow researchers, bloggers, and fans at the heart of our website to ensure we cover the needs of those in particular who cannot access some of this information easily. Most importantly, we want to be inclusive by allowing you to share your stories because it is stories that bind us.
In the future, we promise to continually expand our online content and keep you updated with the latest information on the Torquay region history. So check back often, and connect with us on Facebook or Instagram. Even better, join our social media conversations and subscribe to our free digital version of History Matters – our quarterly magazine.
And most importantly, we would love to hear from you! Your opinions are vital to taking Torquay Museum Without Walls from our computer to yours. Please share your feedback with us on our comments page or email us at info@torquayhistory.com
