Check out no 32 Gilbert Street for our display of photos and stories on old Gilbert Street. This shop was once owned by Don Loveless who ran his TV and Radio repairs there in the 60’s . Don’s wife Faye started making custom surf wear and selling it from the TV shop, making it one of the first surf outlets in town. The Loveless family have kindly loaned us some of this original surf wear for our display. They made a happy return to No 32 today. The board shorts are in mint condition (after more than 50 years ) Thanks to Hayden Real Estate for helping us bring this bit of our history to all our summer visitors.
