History Matters: Winter 2023

The Winter edition of our magazine History Matters is out today.

Joanne Weste (nee Pawson) writes about her dad John Pawson, we learn the history of the much loved Torquay Theatre Troupe which started 22 years ago. John Stewart questions the name of Mount Duneed, buildings pre 1900 are identified and you can read about the last of the SS Milora scuttled off the Torquay Coastline in 1935. Other stories include the Barry Perkins Plantation, Torquay Open Air Theatre, Barrabool Shire Offices, Bellbrae Cemetery Tales: Leslie (Toby) Bubb and Cr Henry Ashton Larcombe.
