Our Torquay history collection collectively tells the story of the district. From the early pioneers to the surfing journey that changed the town.

Torquay Museum Without Walls started in 2015, as a ‘modern historical society’ living in the digital world. We owned not a single image, map, object or original research. Through the combined efforts of our curators, researchers, and collectors, our Torquay history collection has grown to represent more than 150 years of the Torquay district history. The growth has come about through the generosity of people who have donated family treasures of objects and photos from the past to us so that we preserve them for future generations.

Our historical collection has been supported by the Geelong Heritage Centre.
